Thompson Funeral Service, located in Nelson, BC, is locally owned and proud to serve Nelson and the surrounding areas. Our team strives to provide a high level of service to all the families who come into our care.
We are wanting to add an individual to our team who is highly efficient, positive and a reliable team player with strong interpersonal skills. This person must have the ability to work and prioritize efficiently and effectively, while multitasking under little or no supervision.
General duties will include, but are not limited to, overseeing all office operations and general administrative duties, responding to all incoming inquiries (phone, fax, email, door) in a professional, discreet, and timely manner.
Also, the ability to operate and maintain various office equipment, process documents and forms, track and maintain accounts payable and accounts receivable, as well as maintaining inventory of supplies etc.
Required Qualifications:
Post secondary certificate, diploma or degree focusing on business administration
3-5 years experience in an office administrative role
MS Office skills- including, Excel, Word, Outlook, and Publisher
Experience with Adobe Photoshop and Microsoft PowerPoint would be an asset
Ability to take direction and accept responsibility
Demonstrates tact and professionalism and maintain confidentiality
Detail orientated
Successful completion of a criminal record check
